The K-3 Beginners - Advance Sections that has 2 or more players from their school is also in the running for a "1st Place Top School Championship" Trophy for that section to bring home to their school.
UNRATED Players: PLEASE READ !
If your child is UNRATED and in grades Kindergarten - 3rd Grade they will play in the K-3rd Beginners division. If your child is in 4th grade or higher they would play in the regular Beginners section. Therefore, your GRADE will determine your division! Your child will receive their first rating about a week after this tournament and you can look it up at www.USChess.org click on the Ratings tab.
Once you have played in ONE rated tournament you are a RATED player...

Rated players MUST play in the division their rating falls in (grade plays no factor).. Players may play up a division.
PARENTS... If you want your child to play in a HIGHER division please tell us exactly what division you want their child to play in.
