Campers will spend a week emerged in chess instruction with 4 Professional Chess Coaches.

Instructional teaching in a small group setting based on skill levels
Teachings will include Chess Strategies, Common Chess Openings, Middlegame Tactics, Mating Patterns, Chess Notation, Tournament Strategies and more…

Chess Camp Tournament:
Campers will play... One rated tournament game each day For a 5 round tournament competition Trophies and additional awards will be given out on Friday. |

Must have USCF membership for tournament....
Memberships at United States Chess Federation are $17.00 for students under age 13, this allows for a whole year of chess tournaments. Our chess company offers multiple rated tournaments throughout the year.

*Notes to Parents:
1. Campers need to Bring Lunch and Drinks each day
2. Campers do not need to bring chess equipment
3. Campers need to wear clothes they can play in outside
4. Campers need to wear athletic shoes each day for safety
5. Friday afternoon is a fun water day, please have campers wear bathing suits & water shoes and bring towels and water balloons and water guns for more fun (if possible)
6. On Friday if an extra snack or treat can be donated for more fun for the group..... that would be appreciated!!!!!
***Some snacks/drinks are provided, all outdoor time is supervised, if kids bring electronics they will not be using them during camp hours, kids are going to play the old fashion way, see pictures below....

9:30 - 10:15 Arrival, Chess with Friends with Game Analyses by Coaches
10:15 - 11:00 Chess Classes for Rookies/Structured Outdoor Activity for Knights
11:00 - 11:45 Chess Classes for Knights/Structured Outdoor Activity for Rookies
11:45 - 12:15 Group Activity- Bughouse, Blitz, No Stress Chess, Chess Battleship
12:15 - 1:00 Lunch
1:00 - 2:00 Tournament Game
2:00 - 3:00 Group Lesson or Group Activity
3:00 - 3:30 Chess with Friends with Game Analyses by Coaches
