Our Tournaments are Open to any Student..... from any School..... from any State..... K-12th Grade

4 Rounds: No Elimination - Each student plays 4 full games
Game 30/d0: Each player has 30 minutes to play their game

Optional Mixed Doubles Prize....
The best girl/boy team playing in the tournament will win.......... $25 each Kids can be in different sections.... Teams need to be determined by round 1.... Don't worry parents were are not setting up a dating service.... Last Year, the prize was $10.00 for each player, this year it will be $25.00 for each player!!! |

The K-3 Beginners - Advance Sections that has 2 or more players from their school is also in the running for a "1st Place Top School Trophy for that section to bring home to their school.
UNRATED Players: PLEASE READ !
If your child is UNRATED and in grades Kindergarten - 3rd Grade they will play in the K-3rd Beginners division. If your child is in 4th grade or higher they would play in the regular Beginners section. Therefore, your GRADE will determine your division! Your child will receive their first rating about a week after this tournament and you can look it up at www.USChess.org click on the Ratings tab.
Once you have played in ONE rated tournament you are a RATED player...
All the tournaments from Alton Academy 4 Chess are RATED tournaments
RATED Players: PLEASE READ !
Rated players MUST play in the division their rating falls in (grade plays no factor).. Players may play up a division.
PARENTS... If you want your child to play in a HIGHER division please tell us exactly what division you want their child to play in.

$30.00 for one student and $55.00 for two students

Regular Registration Prices ........ $45 for All Divisions and All Players
If you need to cancel your registration and you gave us 24 hour notice, we will apply your registration money to the next tournament we offer in the 2019-2020 school season.
