Mini - 3 Day Camp $200

This mini camp was primarily designed as an "Introduction to Chess" camp
As with all of our camps, we will work with each camper individually to strengthen each child's chess skills.  This camp does not require the USCF membership and will not have a rated tournament. 
Each student will receive a special recognition award at camp's end.

Campers will spend a week emerged in chess instruction with 4 Professional Chess Coaches.

Chess Teachings Include:  
​Basic Chess Principles & Strategies, Common Chess Openings, Middlegame Tactics, Mastering Common Checkmates, Learning Other Mating Patterns, Working with Chess Clocks, Chess Notation, Tournament Rules & Strategies and more…

We Will Also Have Fun Chess Group Activities ..…
Bughouse, 5- minute Blitz Game Competition, Chess Battleship, No Stress Chess, 4-Player Chess, Human Chess, and more

Chess Camp Tournament:

Campers will play...
One rated tournament game each day

For a 5 round tournament competition

Trophies and additional awards will be given out on Friday.

Westchase Camp 2017 Tournament Winners

Must have USCF membership for tournament....

Memberships at United States Chess Federation are $17.00 for students under age 13, this allows for a whole year of chess tournaments.

Location: A Homeschool Facility
​Structured Outdoor Activities include:  Obstacle Course Relays, Gaga-ball, Team Spike Ball, Parachute Games, and more

Special Activities: Silly String Thursday and Wacky Water Day Friday

Citrus Park Camp Details:
Size Capped at 12
Location:  Our Family Home
​Structured Outdoor Activities include:  Playground Set, Tire Swing, Team Spike Ball, and more

​Special Daily Activity:  Playing in Outdoor Pool & Water Volleyball
***Students Must Know How to Swim Well to Participate in this Camp !

Notes to Parents:

1. Campers need to Bring Lunch and Drinks each day  
2. Campers do not need to bring chess equipment
3. Campers need to wear clothes they can play in outside
4. Campers need to wear athletic shoes each day for safety
5. For Water Days, please have campers bring or wear bathing suits & water shoes and bring towels and water balloons and water guns for more fun (if possible)
6. On Fridays if an extra snack or treat can be donated for more fun for the group..... that would be appreciated!!!!! 
      *Some snacks/drinks are provided, all outdoor time is supervised, if kids bring electronics they will not be using them during camp hours, kids are going to play the old fashion way, see pictures below....
